Participation Incentives

Data Submission Rewards

Users who contribute environmental data, such as air quality images, condition reports, or survey inputs, receive $EPT tokens based on relevance, completeness, and geographic uniqueness. Contributions from under-monitored regions or during high-impact weather events are weighted more heavily.

Forecast Accuracy Rewards

Participants who submit short-term weather forecasts are rewarded proportionally to the accuracy of their predictions. Forecast performance is evaluated against verified meteorological data within a 24–48 hour window. Consistently accurate predictors gain both token rewards and improved leaderboard rankings.

Validator Rewards

Validators are responsible for reviewing user-submitted data for clarity, consistency, and reliability. They earn $EPT for correctly approving valid content and flagging inaccurate or manipulated entries. Validator performance is tracked and ranked to maintain data quality across the network.

Governance Participation

Holders of $EPT tokens can propose and vote on changes to platform parameters, funding allocations, or governance processes. Active governance participants may receive periodic rewards, especially for meaningful engagement such as proposal authorship or high-vote-turnout participation.

Challenge-Based Incentives

Periodic forecasting tournaments and community campaigns are held to boost activity during key events (e.g., heatwaves, pollution spikes). Participants in these challenges can win additional token pools, recognition badges, or priority access to platform features.
